Spike Ryan – Contemporary and Classic Vocal and Guitar
It’s much easier to use a few chosen words to describe Spike Ryan as an artist. Some words that come to mind are versatile, enthusiastic and above all, experienced.
Spikes long career entertaining in hotels and clubs, corporate functions and weddings has given him a sixth sense when it comes to playing the right songs at the right time.
“It’s difficult to always please everybody, but by playing a broad spectrum of songs that people are familiar with is certainly a good place to start,” Spike says. “There’s definitely a time and place for certain songs and the trick is to recognise when people are ready to party and when they want to chat and catch up. It’s also important to keep in step with new music and embrace the songs that suit my style. It’s not just about playing all the old classics.” Contact us for a current gig listing.
Through his career spanning over 30 years of entertaining, Spike has taken the experience he gained from his musical family and countless gigs across the country and now presents a solid, well thought out show that takes in music from Jack Johnson, The Eagles and Van Morrison for during canapés and over dinner, right through to the party tunes from Powderfinger, Cold Chisel and The Beatles for when the dancing starts.
He is available in solo or duo format and is happy to learn your special song in either acoustic mode or utilising his self – constructed backing tracks with electric guitar.
